64E to West Point exit 220, Rt. 33, go through the town of West Point on Rt. 33

 

About 4 1/2  miles after the 2nd bridge look for Rt 14 east on the right, turn right on this road,

(look for sign that says Mathews)

 

Take Rt. 14 east (about 6 miles) until it T's into 17 south/14 east, turn right

 

Go about 7.8 miles to 3rd stop light turn left on 17 south/14 east Business, this goes into the town of Gloucester

 

Go through Gloucester to 1st stoplight, turn left onto 14 east/3 west

 

Go about 13 miles (road turns from 4 lanes into 2 lanes), to Rt 611 on the right,  there is a small log cabin just before you get to Rt. 611,  turn right on Rt. 611, there is a small old sign on the right that says New Point Campground

 

Follow Rt. 611 into the town of Mathews, at the stop sign you have to go right

 

Go about 7 miles on Rt 14 east look for Rt 602 on the left,  turn left, there is a sharp blind curve here so be CAREFUL,  look for small sign that says New Point Campground

 

Go to almost the end of Rt 602 (not far about 1/2 mile)  there is a very large sign directing you into the campground, turn right into the campground (nice paved road)

 

At stop sign (in the campground)  you must register at office, small building on the right, please go in and say you are with the RAF kite club and you are there to help for the day, there is no charge

 

After leaving the office turn left and drive straight until it looks like you are about to drive onto the beach,  the club will be camping on the right side near the bath house  site numbers are BR 3 thru 5
