3rd Annual Quetzal Kite Festival - Pleasant Grove, Palmyra VA Saturday, May 17th, 2008
10:00 am - 5:00 pm, rain or shine
Join us for a
celebration of the wind at beautiful Pleasant Grove in Fluvanna County. Kite
flyers from the Richmond Air Force and Wings over Washington kite clubs will be
joining forces to provide a fun, free day of kite flying demonstrations, kids
games, kite related events and lot's of fun for the whole family. Come see kite
designs from all around the world
being flown and don't miss the exciting Kite Fighting at the end of the day when
expert kite flyers pit their skills and kites against each other in a battle to
control the sky! There will also be two kite making sessions leading up to the
festival in which kids of all ages are welcome to come learn how to make kites
they can fly (or fight if they are so inclined) at the festival. There will also
be live music to enjoy and food vendors to feed your family.
