To the Party Place (the Fire House) from:

Washington, D.C. direction:

Take I-95 south to the I-295 towards Rocky Mount, NC and / or Norfolk. (I think that is 295 south )  Stay on 295 until you get to the TAPPAHANOCK exit - NOT THE MECHANICSVILLE exit - that will take you the wrong direction!!!  When you take the Tappahanock exit it will put you on Hwy. 360 east.  Stay on that until you think you're driving to the ends of the earth.   :-)   Some sights to guide you are ( you will travel approx. a total of 10 - 12 miles to our corner):  as you come off the interstate you will see Taco Bell on your right and I-Hop on your left.  Continuing east on 360 you will go past Shoney's on your right, Lee-Davis high school on your left . . . . car dealership on your left, Crown gas station on your right . . . . Kroger grocery store on your right . . . . Baja Bean Restaraunt on your right . . . . . Battlefield Green Subdivision on your left, Pebble Creek Subdivision and River City Bank on your right . . . . .  . . . . . . you will finally come to a stoplight at 7-11 on your right w/an elementary school on another corner.  FROM THIS STOPLIGHT you will travel through 2 more lights and turn left onto New Bethesada Road.  As soon as you see the firehouse on your left, you should be taking the next left hand turn.


From Norfolk area:

Other general directions:

You can get to Mechanicsville from I-64 directly.  There is a MECHANICSVILLE exit off of I-64, but you want to use this ONLY if you are already in Richmond.  If you choose to take this route, you will come off the interstate before the Showplace onto the Mechanicsville Tnpk.  Take the Mechanicsville Tnpk EAST and follow the directions from I-295.  After you pass the Showplace on Mech. Tnpk, you will continue east and go past Big Lots on your right, cross over Laburnum Ave, go across the creek / river / swamp area and come to the Windmill at the stoplight.  Continue EAST on Mech. Tnpk and follow these directions after going under I-295:
